Facing Ethics: the Moral Challenges of Face Transplants

Dr. Arthur Caplan, a nationally known speaker, professor and scholar with enormous experience in the Medical Ethics field, will speak on the following topics:

  • Identifying the variables in patient selection, exit strategies and psychological implications.
  • Examining informed consent interactions between the surgeon and his or her consent.
  • Interpreting the ambiguities surrounding outcomes and rejections, i.e. disfigurement.
