On February 23, 2017, we hosted, "A Taste of Jefferson," our annual event that celebrates cultural diversity through a culinary and educational adventure around the college. Program and departments around the college choose a country, offers food that represents that country and decorate their spaces accordingly. Students receive "passports" and go around to each location sampling the food and getting their passports stamped.
Participants also get to vote for their favorite! The students love this event!
The countries/regions represented in this year's event were Greece, Italy, the United States, Antarctica, Syria, Literary Britain, India, Switzerland, Japan, France, Louisiana and Mexico.
And the 2017 Taste of Jefferson winners are...
- 1st Place: France (Surgical Technology Program)
- 2nd Place Syria (Office of Student Affairs)
- 3rd Place: Mexico (Nursing Department)
